Who we are

travelbymotorcycle.com is operated by Multigate International Limited, trading as Travel by Motorcycle, registered in England and Wales under company number 02709003, registered office 2 Bedford Mews, East Finchley, London N2 9DF (“Multigate”, “we”). What we collect and why

Enquiry forms. When you send an enquiry to an operator through this site we collect your name, email address, travel dates and message. We use them to forward your enquiry to the operator you chose, to keep a copy so we can see that it was sent, and, where you have agreed, to contact you ourselves about that enquiry. Lawful basis: your consent, given by the tick box on the form. The exact consent text you agreed to is versioned and stored with the enquiry.

Link clicks. When you follow a partner link we record the time, the page you came from and a salted hash of your browser’s user-agent string, which we cannot reverse to identify your browser. Our application does not store your IP address; our hosting provider processes it transiently to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in knowing which links are used, so that partner commissions can be checked.

Listing claims. If you claim an operator listing we collect your business email address to verify that you can act for the operator. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in keeping listings accurate.

Theme preference. Your light or dark choice is stored in your browser only and never sent to us.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from automated abuse; these need no consent.

Who receives your data

The operator you chose to contact receives your enquiry. A copy of the enquiry is sent to our customer-relationship system, GoHighLevel, so that we can follow up on the referral. Our website and database are hosted by Cloudflare and Supabase; both act as processors under contract. Data may be stored in the United Kingdom and the European Union, and processed in the United States by those providers under the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: [12] months from the date sent, then deleted. Link clicks: [24] months, then deleted. Claims: for as long as the listing is claimed.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict processing, ask for your data in a portable format, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by writing to [privacy email address]. We answer within one month, or within three for a complex request, and we tell you if we need the extra time. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We date every version of this policy. Material changes are announced on this page.
